More Union County Elected Officials Speak-out in Support of Hatfield
For 7th District Congressional Seat

Today Assemblymen Dr. Eric Munoz and Jon Bramnick, who represent New Jersey’s 21st Legislative District, announced their support of former Summit Council President Dr. P. Kelly Hatfield as their candidate for the 7th Congressional District. Currently the seat is held by Republican Congressman Mike Ferguson who will not be seeking reelection in the fall. The 7th Congressional District includes a large portion of Union County encompassing most of the 21st Legislative District which includes parts of Union, Morris, Somerset and Essex Counties.

Assemblyman Munoz of Summit said that Hatfield is a great candidate possessing the skill set and sensitivity to effectively represent the interests of all of the residents of the 7th District. Describing her as an extremely capable and proven leader who was elected to three terms on the Summit Common Council and served as President of the Summit Board of Education, Munoz is confident that she is the person best suited for the job.

Assemblyman Bramnick of Westfield said that Dr. Hatfield has always possessed a deep sense of loyalty for the people she represents and exhibits that by being extremely responsive to her constituents and their needs. Stressing that she has been involved in public service for over 15 years he said she is experienced, extremely conscientious and well versed in the issues that face not only the residents in the 7th District but the state and nation as well.

Both Assemblymen indicated that the choice is clear and that as residents of the 7th District they themselves will be proud to have someone of the caliber of Dr. P Kelly Hatfield representing them in Washington.
