Dear Fellow Republican, During these critical times the decisions made in Washington will affect not just our lives but our children and grandchildrenas well. We are all responsible for the future of this nation. It is that sense of responsibility that has motivated me to enter the race for the Republican nomination for Congress in the 7th District. Thirty years ago, my husband Jim and I moved to Summit to raise our three children. I volunteered in the schools and served six years on the Board of Education. I was elected to three terms on Summit’s Common Council and served as President, During my tenure on the Council, I was a leader in the effort to re-vitalize our downtown to stimulate the local economy bringing jobs and revenue back to Summit. As your Representative in Washington, I will continue to promote a secure economic future by encouraging small business. Most importantly, I want to insure that our country, our families and our Troops are safe at home and abroad. I will fight to make sure that our military has the resources it needs to be successful and return home safely. As your Representative in Washington, I will work to make sure that our borders and our ports are secure. I am a Republican who believes that the strength of our nation lies with the individual and the opportunities our great nation provides to achieve the American dream. I believe smaller government promotes and empowers families and businesses to grow and prosper. I have a record, the education, the experience and commitment to be the best Representative for you in Washington. This campaign is about you, the people who live in the 7th Congressional District.
